Jewelry Material & Care Guide

Each piece of jewelry requires proper care to maintain its appearance, finish, and longevity. Please follow these simple guidelines according to the material of your jewelry.

Gold

Gold jewelry is durable but can develop scratches or lose its shine with regular wear. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, chlorine, and harsh cleaning chemicals. Store each piece separately in a soft, dry pouch or jewelry box.

Silver

Sterling silver naturally develops tarnish when exposed to air, moisture, sweat, and certain chemicals. Gently polish with a soft silver-polishing cloth when required. Keep silver jewelry dry and stored in an airtight pouch when not in use.

Gold-Plated / Gold-Filled Jewelry

The surface finish can gradually wear with frequent exposure to water, sweat, perfumes, cosmetics, and chemicals. Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or applying personal-care products. Avoid rubbing or abrasive polishing.

Gemstones

Natural gemstones can vary in hardness, porosity, and resistance to chemicals. Avoid impacts, extreme temperature changes, ultrasonic cleaners, and harsh chemicals unless the stone is specifically known to be suitable for them. Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Pearls

Pearls are delicate and can be damaged by perfumes, cosmetics, hairspray, sweat, and acidic substances. Put pearls on after applying cosmetics and fragrance. Wipe them gently with a soft cloth after wearing and store them separately.

Enamel Jewelry

Enamel surfaces can chip or crack if dropped or struck against hard surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemicals, and prolonged exposure to water. Store carefully so the enamel does not come into contact with harder jewelry.

Jewelry with Diamonds

Diamonds are extremely hard but their settings can still be damaged by impact. Avoid wearing diamond jewelry during heavy physical activities. Clean gently with a soft brush and mild soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

General Jewelry Care

• Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
• Apply perfume, cosmetics, creams, and hairspray before putting on jewelry.
• Avoid direct contact with chlorine, bleach, household cleaners, and other chemicals.
• Do not expose jewelry to prolonged moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Store pieces individually to prevent scratches and tangling.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth for regular cleaning.
• Check clasps, stones, prongs, and chains periodically for signs of loosening or damage.
• For valuable or delicate jewelry, professional cleaning and inspection are recommended.
